Once the sun enters the solar panel, the energy runs through a charge regulator which monitors the charge to the battery. From the battery the energy goes to the components of the system and light and real time footage.

Because of the battery storage, at night when there is no sun to run the system, it uses the stored energy from the battery to run the camera and the light.
